Stay

Our Offering

Subject to gaining planning permission we hope to be offering our own barnstorming take on agricultural hospitality from Easter 2018.

The Local Area

As if staying on a working farm in Devon isn’t enough in itself we are in the midst of stunning countryside and in very close proximity to the Tarka trail.

The village of Dolton is close at hand offering a great local amenity. Within easy reach are the best beaches north Devon has to offer as well as Dartmoor and Exmoor. The market towns of Okehampton, South Molton and Great Torrington are also all within about 20 minutes drive and offer another option for a great day out. Other local attractions include Stafford Moor Fishery, RHS Rosemore Gardens and the War Horse Valley Country Park.

We are very lucky to be within easy reach of a number of rather good pubs, these include the Rams Head and the Royal Oak, both in Dolton and the renowned Duke of York in Iddesleigh is a mere stones throw away. Slightly further afield the New Inn at Roborough, the Bull and Dragon at Meeth and the Malt Scoop at Merton all offer excellent opportunities to quench thirst and enjoy local Devonshire fayre.

Meat and Drink

Our farm larder is stocked with home grown and locally produced provisions as well as a number of frozen farmhouse suppers all ready for you to cook as required. We are also happy to provide catered options such as afternoon tea, farmhouse suppers and Devonshire breakfasts by prior arrangement. Please contact us for options and prices.

Canines and Equines

Dogs and horses are both very welcome to accompany you during your stay and they will recieve a specialised welcome pack on arrival. For obvious reasons dogs must be under close on control (i.e. on a lead) at all times whilst at the farm and we regret that they cannot be allowed to run free in our fields. There are, however, very many wonderful walking and riding routes and trails that are easily accessed and enjoyed from the farm. We charge £20 per dog per stay and £12 per horse per night. Horses will be allocated their own stable and a supply of good, fresh hay is included. Please note that we do not offer a full livery service and that livery is only provided on a DIY basis.
